Journeys

How do I show my ticket to ticket inspectors?

Your regional travelcard, point-to-point travelcard or modular travelcard are stored on your SwissPass card. The card thus serves as the inspection element

Ever since I’ve had my regional travelcard on my SwissPass, I keep on forgetting when the travelcard (annual/monthly) expires.

You can go to “My purchases” in the BLS online shop to see how long your season ticket is still valid.

What happens if the ticket inspector is unable to scan my season ticket on the SwissPass?

You can show the ticket inspector your purchase receipt, although this is not valid as an inspection element. The inspector can also use your personal details like your first name, surname and date of birth to determine whether your season ticket is actually registered in the system. If your card is defective (e.g. bent or broken), the Brig Customer Centre will have to be contacted.
