Travelling comfortably, without having to carry your luggage around

Convenient Luggage Transport

Traveling is fun, but lugging suitcases isn't. Travel comfortably by public transportation and have your luggage transported for you. Depending on your trip, various luggage services are available for travel within Switzerland and abroad.

When travelling in Switzerland, you can take advantage of our luggage special at over 1000 hotels and a variety of holiday destinations. We’ll pick up your luggage from your home and deliver it straight to your hotel or holiday accommodation.

The most important points.

  • Booking: no later than 8 p.m. up to two days before collection.

  • We will be happy to advise you about your individual luggage-transport options at our Travel Centres.

Bring your luggage to the nearest BLS Travel Centre by 19.00 hours and pick it up two days later from 09.00 hours at the train station you're travelling to.

Please note the opening hours and baggage check-in times at both the departure and destination stations. Baggage check-in deadlines may differ from the opening hours. If you check in your baggage after the respective deadline, it will not be transported until the following day. This service is offered not only for suitcases and travel bags but also for sports equipment such as skis, snowboards and toboggans. The service is available for postal addresses in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

  • CHF 20.00 Bicycles or bicycle trailers max. 2.00 L x 0.8 m W x 1.0 H m, up to 25 kg
  • CHF 30.00 E-bikes and special bicycles does not fit into the normal hanging device. max. 2.40 L x 0.9 B x 1.1 H m, up to 25 kg

We recommend the Swiss Post service for shipping luggage from Switzerland to foreign countries.

Groups of 10 or more can benefit from attractive rates for their luggage transportation. In addition, you benefit from various special services, such as pick-up from the platform, delivery to the hotel and much more. It’s also possible to ship bicycles.

  • Flat rate for 10 or more people and up to 50 pieces of luggage/bikes: CHF 300.00
  • Flat rate for children and young people up to 25 years of age with 10 or more people and up to 30 pieces of luggage/bikes: CHF 100.00

Was your luggage damaged during transport? Or do you have to make emergency purchases because it’s arriving late? Using the form below, you can report your claims no later than seven days after receipt.

Let us take your luggage to the airport

Whether you're on holiday or a business trip, you can now hand your luggage in the day before your flight at the railway station and pick it up from the SBB "Bag drop counter" at Zurich Airport. You can pick your luggage up as early as 06.30 hours, so passengers with an early flight can check in on time.

Around 160 Swiss railway stations provide this service, as do all BLS Travel Centres* (without point of sale).

Thanks to the "Door to foreign airport with check-in" service, you can have your luggage picked up from home and pick it up at your destination airport abroad. This service is offered for airline companies SWISS and Edelweiss.

 

* Drop-off is not available at the Bern Europaplatz Travel Center.
