The Kunstmuseum Bern is the oldest museum of fine arts in Switzerland with a permanent collection which spans from the Gothic period to the present day.
The Kunstmuseum Bern is of international importance, being home to one of the most important and diverse art collections in the whole of Switzerland. Works by Ferdinand Hodler, Paul Klee, Albert Anker, Pablo Picasso, Franz Gertsch, Vincent van Gogh, Meret Oppenheim and many others have made the Kunstmuseum Bern into an institution with a global reputation. As well as the permanent collection, the Kunstmuseum Bern also presents thematic exhibitions and major one-off exhibitions.
