Straight into the weekend with the Biel-Brig hiking train

From 20 December 2025 to 6 April 2026, our special trains between Biel/Bienne and Brig will be in operation for you at weekends and on public holidays. From Biel, Lyss, Zollikofen, Ostermundigen and Gümligen, there will be a direct train to Brig in the morning, then a direct connection will take you back home from Brig in the evening. Because the new direct train does not pass through Bern train station, travellers can reach their destination up to 20 minutes faster, depending on the connection.

Travel at the best prices with the supersaver ticket or Saver Day Pass

If you already know in advance where you are going, you should definitely buy your ticket early. Because the earlier you buy a ticket, the greater the chance of getting hold of a supersaver ticket or Saver Day Pass with a discount of up to 50%. Supersaver Tickets and Saver Day Passes are only available online and can be purchased at the earliest 60 days before the desired day of travel. For supersaver tickets, choose connections outside peak times if possible.
