Napf – a superlative mountain hike
Lüderenalp–Napf–Mettlenalp (13.3 km / 4 hours 50 minutes)
One of the most popular and lovely walks in the Emmental is the mountain hike, offering view after view, from the Lüderenalp up to the Napf and back down into the valley to the Mettlenalp (13 km, walking time approximately 4 hours 50 minutes). This varied route follows a narrow path close to the ridge, taking you past rustic mountain taverns. Throughout the walk, you’ll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of mountains stretching from the Alps to the Jura range.
|Walking times||4 hours 50 minutes|
|Level of difficulty||medium|
The walk can also be combined with a stay at the Alpwirtschaft Oberi Lushütte, which is particularly suitable for families.
It’s well worth taking a detour from the Lüderenalp to the Ober Rafrüti viewpoint.
