From Trub via Höstulle and Grüebli up to the Napf

Trub-Fankhaus-Höstulle-Grüebli-Napf-Mettlenalp (11.4 km, 3 hours 50 minutes)

In the autumn of 2018, a new three kilometre-long path was opened between Trub and Fankhaus. The hike begins with this section of the path, which now closely follows the River Trueb and the Fankhusbach stream. In Fankhaus, you leave behind the noise of the water and follow the existing descending path to the left as far as Lenn. The route then branches off to the right and rises after Buechi to continue along the ridge via Höstulle to Grüebli. From here, the path rises steeply uphill for one last time around the Schlegelgrabe up to the Napf. Finally, there is an approximately one-hour descent to Mettlenalp.

      Operating times, BLS hiking bus

      • The «Trub, Löwenplatz» bus stop is served by BLS buses every day.
      • Buses operate from the «Mettlenalp (Napf)» stop between 1.5.-31.10.2021 on Saturdays and Sundays only and on general public holidays.

      Getting there and back

      Take the train to Trubschachen and continue on bus no. 284 to “Trub, Löwenplatz”; return journey: From “Mettlenalp (Napf)” take bus no. 284 (BLS hiking bus)
