200 kilometres of pistes, charming chalet villages and winter sports at elevations of up to 3,000 metres above sea level make the Gstaad holiday region a varied ski area – from family-friendly village lifts to Glacier 3000.
200 kilometres of pistes for every ski day
Zweisimmen, Saanenmöser, Gstaad and Glacier 3000 are among the different ski areas within the holiday region. Family-friendly slopes, kilometre-long descents and glacier pistes offer suitable options for different levels and preferences.
Glacier 3000 offers a true glacier experience, while Rinderberg, Lengebrand, Saanerslochgrat, Hornberg and Horneggli feature varied ski areas. Enjoyable descents await in the Eggli–La Videmanette area. Sporty highlights include the Tiger Run at Wasserngrat and the Rinderberg Ronda ski safari across three mountains and valleys.
The RegioExpress Bern–Spiez–Zweisimmen will take you from Berne to Zweisimmen in just 80 minutes without having to change trains.

Skiing and snowboarding
The “Playground Snowpark” offers a variety of freestyle features where you can test your skills. Among other things, wall rides, a pyramid, and logs invite you to practice new tricks. The wooden structures blend perfectly into their surroundings and the landscape. Rounding out the fun offerings is a kids’ slope where even the youngest visitors can have a great time.

Cross-country
With approximately 180 kilometres of cross-country trails (classic and skate), the Gstaad holiday region is a top destination for cross-country skiing in Switzerland. The various cross-country ski areas in the region offer trails in every degree of difficulty. Both classic cross-country skiing and skate skiing fans are sure to get their money’s worth
Special notes
- Some of the pistes can be covered with artificial snow if necessary.
- The Rinderberg Ronda ski safari allows you to explore three mountains and valleys without having to use the same piste or cableway twice.

- The «Klangpiste» between the middle and valley stations on the Saanerslochgrat provides even more fun for skiing. On elements such as milk cans and cow bells, skiers can produce sounds to their heart's content.

The valley stations are each located five minutes’ walk from the respective train stations (Zweisimmen, Saanemöser, Schönried and Gstaad, Eggli valley station).
