BLS Nostalgia Beer Train 2026

Look forward to a unique combination of a nostalgic train journey and delicious beer enjoyment. Join our special event trip and enjoy an unforgettable afternoon.

Experienced beer sommeliers will share their knowledge about beer, beer styles, beer history, brewing processes, current trends, and the Swiss beer landscape. Of course, you will also receive information about the beers served and their breweries.

What to expect

  • Unforgettable train journey
    Experience a special trip aboard the historic Blauer Pfeil and enjoy the impressive route from Bern through the Aare Valley to Thun, continuing via Spiez to Zweisimmen. The return journey takes you through the idyllic Gürbetal. Nostalgic charm, picturesque landscapes, and the unique atmosphere on board make this trip a true highlight.
  • Beer tasting on board
    Look forward to a diverse selection of regional beers, expertly presented to you during the journey. Discover new flavours, learn fascinating facts about the art of brewing, and enjoy a relaxed tasting in a historic setting.

Departure from Bern

Arrival in Bern
 5:43 p.m.

Starting in Bern, the route takes you through Thun, along Lake Thun to Spiez, and on through the idyllic Simmental valley to Zweisimmen. From there, you head back to Thun and return to Bern via the Gürbetal valley.
