New-build with apartments, offices and premises for service providers
BLS wants to vitalise and enhance sites in the vicinity of train stations. The limited space in areas with good transport connections is to be used to create new working and living spaces. The plot between the railway tracks and Bahnhofstrasse in Spiez is one of six sites with development potential. BLS aims to construct a new-build with apartments, offices and premises for service providers on this site.
The development site features an area of 11,000 m2. BLS owns 4,000 of this area.

BLS wants to develop the area in close collaboration with the Community of Spiez.
The site currently sits within a designated work zone, so its usage for residential purposes is not permitted. BLS wants to construct a mixed-use development, and is therefore working with the community to get the site rezoned. The necessary political procedure could potentially see the project being completed by 2024.
