Burgdorf Suttergut

Residential properties, offices, and premises for service providers and commercial enterprises

BLS wants to vitalise and enhance sites in the vicinity of train stations. The limited space in areas with good transport connections is to be used to create new working and living spaces. Burgdorf Suttergut is one of six sites with development potential. The area is in the immediate vicinity of Burgdorf Railway Station. Together with its planning partners, BLS is planning a development there with residential properties, offices, and premises for service providers and businesses. The Park and Ride at the station will remain intact.

Total area

The development site features an area of 19,325 m2.

Site owners

BLS owns 13 per cent of the site. An additional 24 per cent is shared 50/50 between SBB and BLS. The remaining area is owned by the property development company Alfred Müller in Zug as well as by private individuals.

Planning partners

BLS wants to develop the area in close collaboration with the City of Burgdorf and the neighbouring landowners.

Schedule

A competition procedure (call for tender) was already completed in 2015.

2018: Transfer to development project plan. The area sits within a ZPP (zone with planning obligation).
