Network access

Regulations relevant to network access BLS Infrastructure

BLS Netz AG endeavours to ensure that traffic on its network runs safely and punctually. Safety-related regulations and recommendations are laid down in the Swiss Train Operating Regulations and the BLS Netz AG Operating Regulations.

According to Article 1.3 of the "General Terms and Conditions for the Use of Railway Infrastructure" (GTC-IM), a railway undertaking is obliged to comply with the Swiss Railway Operating Regulations (FDV), the operating regulations of the infrastructure manager and the technical and operational recommendations for the use of infrastructure. Regulations I-30111 (AB FDV Infra), I-30121 (Local provisions for train movements and shunting movements) and I-30131 (RADN route tables) are drawn up and published in collaboration with SBB.

They are generally supplied by SBB Infrastructure. The following regulations and BLS-specific operating instructions can be obtained from BLS Netz AG, Operations.

Delivery by e-mail is free of charge; a charge is made for printed versions. The RU is responsible for ensuring that its staff have access to the operating regulations.
