Network Statement and List of Infrastructure Services
The terms of use and track access for our track network are published in the form of the European Network Statement. Each timetable year has its own Network Statement.
This Network Statement (NWS) is published jointly by the infrastructure managers (IMs) SBB Infrastructure (SBBI), BLS Netz AG (BLSN), SOB Infrastructure Division (SOB), Sensetalbahn AG (STB, managed by SBBI) and Hafenbahn Schweiz AG (HBS, managed by SBBI).
The network access conditions (Network Statement and List of Infrastructure Services) are available at networkstatement.ch.

Lötschberg Base Tunnel
The Lötschberg Base Tunnel is a 34.6 kilometre long railway tunnel. It connects Frutigen in the Bernese Oberland with Raron in the canton of Valais. The tunnel was opened on 16 June 2007. This base tunnel is part of the Lötschberg-Simplon axis, a railway line through the Alps. It runs from Basel via Bern-Thun-Spiez to the Lötschberg and onwards via Brig-Simplon-Domodossola to Milan and Novara-Genoa. In addition to the Gotthard axis, this is another route for transalpine rail freight transport. The tunnel is part of the European railway line Rotterdam-Genoa.
