The cable car ride from the valley up to the Brienzer Rothorn at 2350 m above sea level is spectacular. Once at the top, the 360° panorama is astounding. The view sweeps over the Emmental valley, the turquoise-blue Lake Brienz, the Bernese Alps with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and up to a further 690 peaks - simply breathtaking. Enjoy a spectacular view of the biosphere and the Alps from the interactive piazza, linger in the Biosphere Forum, a small cinema with special effects, and finish off with a hearty local meal in the extensively renovated summit restaurant. Back at the valley station, the biosphere store offers all kinds of genuine Entlebuch delicacies as a nice souvenir of the excursion or as a souvenir for those who stayed at home.
