As soon as winter brings the first snow to the region, new life comes to the Weissenstein. After a ride in the gondola lift from Oberdorf, a fantastic Alpine panorama with views of Mont Blanc reveals itself. The Weissenstein promises culinary delights, tobogganing, snowshoe walking and cross-country skiing for the whole family.

Travel comfortably by train from Solothurn main station to the “Oberdorf SO” stop. From here, it is an 12-minute ride in the Weissenstein cable car to the top of the mountain.

On the trail with the stoat – A scavenger hunt

Tracking with stoat and hare – an exciting scavenger hunt on the Weissenstein for the whole family.

Join the stoat on a quest to find puzzle stations and animal figures. At the end of the circular trail, a treasure chest with a small surprise awaits you. Puzzles, fun, and family dynamics are guaranteed! A puzzle booklet will help you on your adventure.

Some stations may be slightly off the hiking trail. Good shoes and weatherproof clothing are recommended! The route is not suitable for strollers.

Cross-country skiing

The cross-country skiing trail situated between the Sennhaus and the Hinterer Weissenstein is four to six kilometres in length. It includes both a classic track and a skating track.

Tobogganing

The speedy and winding toboggan run starts at the mountain station of the Weissenstein cable car and takes you via Nesseboden to the Oberdorf valley station.
