Diverse measures for sustainable mobility

At BLS, sustainability means a balanced interplay of social, ecological and economic aspects. These are taken into account in all decisions, with the aim being to conserve resources in the long term and meet the needs of current and future generations.

Based on its sustainability strategy, BLS is implementing a wide range of measures for sustainable mobility.

Sophisticated energy concept

BLS is expanding its workshop in Bönigen. It is being extensively renovated and modernised

The combination of photovoltaics, batteries, heat pumps and a special lake water collection system makes it possible to produce, store and efficiently utilise energy on site. Two thirds of the electricity is used in the workshop, while one third is fed into the public grid. This can supply up to 175 households.

In doing so, it relies on renewable energies and energy-efficient technologies. At the same time, its employees are central to the future of BLS.
