Take a look inside the Lötschberg Base Tunnel
If you would like to experience a tour of the Lötschberg Base Tunnel with a group, we have the right offer for you. During this guided tour, you and your guests will learn a lot of interesting facts about the third-longest tunnel in Europe, such as how the fresh air supply is regulated in the tunnel or how passenger evacuation is organized in case of an emergency.
Private group tours are possible at any time by appointment.
Program
The tour begins at the BLS Info Centre in Frutigen. First, you’ll get an initial impression of the tunnel system and how it works in the exhibition. We then take a minibus through the tunnel carcass from Mitholz to the Valais and visit the emergency stopping point and the ventilation centre in Ferden. On the way back, we make a stop in Mitholz to visit one of the 12 technical centres. This is where all the infrastructure is located, providing the power supply, radio, signal boxes and air conditioning.

Registration
Private group tours for groups of 6 or more are possible at any time upon reservation.
Children must be at least 12 years old and may only take part in the tour if accompanied by an adult.

The group ticket is the ideal fare for groups of 10 or more. Our BLS Travel Centres will be happy to organise all your transport for you, so making the arrangements is a breeze.
