Toboggan run at the Wiriehorn

Fast through snow flurries or easy in the moonlight – tobogganing fans are sure to get their money’s worth in the Diemtigtal Nature Park.

Let the chairlift take you to the start of the 5 km long sledding trail and then whizz back down the slope towards the valley. From the Nüegg station, a sledding trail that is freshly prepared every day will take you down towards the valley through a beautiful pine forest. With the fast passage that branches off suddenly, even the most advanced sledders will find a challenge. If the weather is good and there's enough snow, night sledding is on the agenda every Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The toboggan run is not illuminated, bring a headlamp. Before you head back down the mountain, stop by the Wiriehorn mountain hotel for a delicious fondue.

Travel comfortably by train to Oey-Diemtigen. From there, the Postbus will take you to «Riedli, Talstation Wiriehorn». Night sledging with departure by public transport is only possible from Oey-Diemtigen station.

Sledge hire

Open continuously from 20 December 2025 to 8 March 2026, afterwards, weekend operation as long as possible.

Night tobogganing

If weather and snow conditions allow, night tobogganing is on the agenda every Friday from 18.00 to 22.00 hours.
