Toboggan run at the Wiriehorn

Fast through snow flurries or easy in the moonlight – tobogganing fans are sure to get their money’s worth in the Diemtigtal Nature Park.

Let the chairlift take you to the start of the 5 km long sledding trail and then whizz back down the slope towards the valley. From the Nüegg station, a sledding trail that is freshly prepared every day will take you down towards the valley through a beautiful pine forest. With the fast passage that branches off suddenly, even the most advanced sledders will find a challenge. If the weather is good and there's enough snow, night sledding is on the agenda every Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The sledding trail is not lit, head torches are available for hire. Before you head back down the mountain, stop by the Wiriehorn mountain hotel for a delicious fondue.

Travel comfortably by train to Oey-Diemtigen. From there, the Postbus will take you to 'Riedli, Talstation Wiriehorn'. When making the return journey by public transport, night tobogganing is only possible from Oey-Diemtigen Railway Station.

Sledge hire

Toboggans can be hired at the Stucki Sport shop near the Wiriehorn valley station (+41 33 684 14 42).

Night tobogganing

The toboggan run is not illuminated, but there are head torches available on site if required.

When taking part in the night tobogganing, it is recommended that you book a table for the fondue (+41 33 684 12 42).
