Toboggan run at the Wiriehorn
Five kilometres of sledging fun await you at Wiriehorn in the Diemtigtal Nature Park. Whether racing through the fir forest or heading down into the valley by moonlight, both leisurely and sporty sledging fans will get their money’s worth here.
Racing through the fir forest
The chairlift takes you to Nüegg mountain station and directly to the start of the freshly prepared sledging run. From there, the 5 km route leads through the fir forest down into the valley. A fast alternative section also offers an extra challenge for experienced sledgers.
Weather and snow conditions permitting, night sledging takes place every Friday from 6.00 to 10.00 pm. As the sledging run is not illuminated, you should bring a headlamp. If you would like to round off the evening at a more leisurely pace, you can enjoy a fondue evening at Berghotel Wiriehorn before the descent.
Travel comfortably by train to Oey-Diemtigen. From there, the PostBus takes you to «Riedli, Talstation Wiriehorn». For night sledging, the return journey by public transport is only possible from Oey-Diemtigen railway station.

Sledge hire
Toboggans can be hired at the Stucki Sport shop near the Wiriehorn valley station (+41 33 684 14 42).
Night tobogganing
The toboggan run is not illuminated, bring a headlamp.

Open continuously from 12 December 2026 to 14 March 2027, afterwards, weekend operation as long as possible.

Night tobogganing
If weather and snow conditions allow, night tobogganing is on the agenda every Friday from 18.00 to 22.00 hours.
