Hostalde pedestrian suspension bridge
With a length of 153 metres, the Hostalde pedestrian suspension bridge in Frutigen is one of the longest bridges of its kind in Europe.
The bridge hovers 38 metres above the “Engstlige” mountain stream and the meadow landscape that surrounds it. Not for those who are afraid of heights!

The suspension bridge can be used during the opening hours for the “Hängebrügg-Beizli” restaurant.

You can reach the pedestrian bridge via several routes (see “Hiking to the Hostalde pedestrian suspension bridge” flyer). The routes are signposted from Frutigen RailwayStation.
Groups can enjoy simple meals in the “Hängebrügg-Beizli” restaurant (restaurant must be notified in advance).
More than 50 wood sculptures made by the local carver and wood sculptor Johann Inniger line the hiking routes to the Hostalde bridge.
