Here you will find the prices for a one-way journey on all BLS Car Transport Service routes. You can buy tickets for cars, trailers, motorhomes up to 5 tonnes, motorcycles and bicycles directly online.

- The vehicle registration document for vehicles weighing 3.5 to 7.5 t must be presented without being asked.
- Prices are per vehicle and for a single journey between Kandersteg and Goppenstein, including all passengers and VAT.
- The ticket is valid in both directions, transferable and valid for one month. Outward and return journeys must be purchased separately.
- Tickets for large-capacity vehicles are available at the Kandersteg and Goppenstein loading stations. Please follow the special transport information.
- The vehicle category is determined by the information in the vehicle registration document. For weight-based categories, the maximum permitted total weight applies.

- The ticket is valid in both directions, transferable and valid for one month. Outward and return journeys must be purchased separately.
- Tickets are not sold at Iselle. If you depart from Iselle without an online ticket, you pay for your journey at check-out in Brig.
- Large-capacity vehicles cannot be transported between Brig and Iselle.
The direct service between Kandersteg and Iselle operates on selected days. A reservation is mandatory and can only be made via the online shop.

- Coaches and lorries are not permitted.
Different cancellation fees apply to the Kandersteg–Iselle direct service, depending on when you cancel your reservation.

Prices are per vehicle and for a single journey, including all passengers and VAT. The vehicle category is determined by the information in the vehicle registration document.

For the Kandersteg–Iselle route, the reservation is included in the price.
Tickets for Kandersteg–Goppenstein and Brig–Iselle are not tied to a specific train and can be used in either direction. They do not guarantee a place, are valid for one month from the date of purchase and are transferable.
Online
You can conveniently buy tickets online for cars, motorhomes up to 5 tonnes, motorcycles, bicycles and trailers.
Reservations are mandatory for Kandersteg–Iselle. Tickets and space reservations are available exclusively through the BLS Webshop.
At the loading station
Tickets are also available at the staffed loading stations in Kandersteg, Goppenstein and Brig. For journeys departing from Iselle, you pay for your ticket at check-out in Brig after arrival.
Self-service lane in Kandersteg and Goppenstein
Vehicles with a maximum gross weight of 3.5 tonnes and up to 9 seats, as well as motorhomes up to 5 tonnes, can pay directly at the ticket machine in the self-service lane, provided they are not towing a trailer. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.
Large and heavy vehicles
Tickets for large and heavy vehicles are available exclusively at the loading stations in Kandersteg and Goppenstein.

Euro banknotes are accepted, but coins are not. Currency conversion is based on the current daily exchange rate.

Questions about online tickets
There is now one shared webshop for all three BLS Motorail routes.
The following categories can now also be purchased online:
- Vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes with a maximum of 9 seats

Important:
not all vehicle categories can be purchased online. Tickets for certain vehicle categories, particularly heavy vehicles, are still available exclusively from the staffed ticket offices in Kandersteg, Goppenstein and Brig.
If you made your purchase while logged in, you can access your purchased tickets at any time in your BLS Webshop user account. If you made a guest purchase, you will find your ticket in the email with the subject line “BLS Online Shop purchase receipt”. If you have not received an email, please contact Customer Service.
Purchasing a ticket only entitles you to transportation on the relevant route. However, a ticket does not entitle you to use a specific train or travel at a specific time and therefore does not constitute a reservation.
As a rule, online tickets cannot be exchanged. They are valid for 30 days from the selected travel date and are transferable. This means that they can also be used by another person if necessary.
If you made your purchase while logged in rather than as a guest, you can cancel your ticket yourself in your user account under “Valid tickets” before it expires. In this case, the ticket price will be refunded. Promotional tickets are non-refundable.
If a ticket for the Kandersteg–Goppenstein route was purchased for travel from Monday to Thursday but is used on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it can be used subject to a surcharge of CHF 3.00. The surcharge can also be paid at the ticket machine.
No. Simply present the QR code on your ticket using your smartphone at the ticket machine. You do not need to print it. The scanner is integrated into the ticket machine.

No. A SwissPass login is not required to purchase online tickets, as guest purchases are also possible.
However, a user account is required for tickets for the seasonal Kandersteg–Iselle direct Motorail trains, as these tickets include a reservation. You need a SwissPass login to create a user account in the BLS Webshop.
A BLS Webshop user account allows you to view your purchased tickets at any time. You can also cancel online tickets yourself in your user account during their period of validity.
Yes, guest purchases are possible. Your name and date of birth are required for a guest purchase. This information will be shown on the ticket. However, the ticket is transferable.
As tickets for the seasonal Kandersteg–Iselle direct Motorail trains must be purchased through a BLS Webshop user account, you can cancel your ticket directly in your user account if you decide not to travel.
The cancellation charges depend on when you cancel your ticket:
- 23 to 15 days before departure: 30% of the ticket price
- 14 to 8 days before departure: 50% of the ticket price
- 7 to 1 day before departure: 90% of the ticket price
- On the day of travel or in the event of a no-show: 100% of the ticket price
In Iselle di Trasquera, you can drive directly onto the Motorail train. Your online ticket will be validated at the staffed ticket office when you arrive in Brig.
Alternatively, you can purchase your ticket from the staffed ticket office when you arrive in Brig.
Questions about payment at the on-site ticket machines
There is one staffed ticket office at each of the following locations: Kandersteg, Goppenstein and Brig.
There are two ticket machines in Kandersteg and two in Goppenstein. You can use the self-service lane to access the ticket machines. The ticket machine in Brig will become available at a later date.
No. You do not need to select a category at the ticket machine. The price is already set for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes with a maximum of 9 seats and for motorhomes weighing up to 5 tonnes without a trailer.
Simply tap your credit or debit card on the terminal or pay using TWINT. After completing your purchase, you will receive your ticket and the barrier will open automatically.
No, cash payments are not accepted at the ticket machines.
No. Both ticket machines are identical. Depending on the height of your vehicle, you can use whichever machine is easier for you to reach.
The barrier opens automatically once your ticket has been issued or your online ticket has been validated. No additional receipt is issued when an online ticket is validated.
No, there is no need to select a language. The price display for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes with a maximum of 9 seats and for motorhomes weighing up to 5 tonnes is available in four languages. The remaining operating instructions use pictograms and images and are therefore language-independent.
If you experience a problem at the ticket machine, assistance is available at any time from a staffed Motorail ticket office. At least one staffed ticket office will continue to be available at each location to provide information and assistance.
