From registration to contract in three stages

Join us on a joint journey of digital procurement

We go through three phases. As soon as any action is required on your part, we will actively contact you and inform you of the next steps. Until then, you do not need to do anything.

The three phases of our journey together are:

Onboarding supplier company Registration & qualification on Ariba

In principle, all suppliers go through the onboarding phase, but this is staggered over time in different waves. We will therefore invite you to Ariba onboarding at the appropriate time.

The procedure:

  1. You will be contacted by BLS with an information letter.

  2. You provide the necessary information (e.g. contact person) to ariba@bls.ch.

  3. You receive an invitation to register via the SAP Business Network with the aim of linking your company (possibly various legal entities) with BLS.

  4. You register with your Ariba account:

    • If you already have an account on the Ariba network, log in with your existing user and check / complete your master data if necessary.
    • If you do not yet have an account on the Ariba network, create a (free) account in just a few steps. Then check and complete your master data in our questionnaire.

  5. You may receive a separate invitation to qualify (another short questionnaire).

  6. You qualify with your Ariba account at BLS.

Once registration and qualification have been completed, a «digital trading relationship» is established between BLS and you as a supplier. This lays an important foundation for digital collaboration.

Operational procurement Commissioning of the ordering processes

From fall 2023, we will gradually handle the operational ordering processes via Ariba.

The process:

  1. You will receive information on the catalog and ordering processes

  2. Order dispatch will be actively converted after your Ariba registration and will take place via the Ariba network.

  3. You will receive an email with all the necessary information and a direct link to the order.

  4. You can send order confirmations quickly and easily directly to us via your Ariba account and of course make changes.

  5. With a planned catalog connection:

    • We inform you of the requirements for the catalog.
    • You make the catalog available in the test system and make the necessary settings for orders.
    • We test all relevant processes for order processing (together with you if required).

  6. We go live together and handle the order processes via the Ariba network.

Strategic procurement Implementation of tendering & bidding processes

From 2024, we plan to handle further strategic procurement processes via the Ariba network.

The goals:

  • We carry out tenders and requests for quotations via Ariba. As a supplier, you are always informed about the status. All information is transparently available at all times.
  • We will jointly draw up and manage contracts digitally via Ariba and retrieve them from BLS.
  • We carry out supplier management (evaluation, development, etc.) via Ariba.
