Set in an unforgettable landscape of gently undulating hills and typical farmhouses, during the slowUp event the main road will become available to anyone wishing to travel on it using whatever non-motorised form of transport they choose, be it by bike, skates or on foot. The slowUp Emmental-Oberaargau is a day to remember for everyone! It is an event for all ages and interests, for locals and visitors, for the sporty and less sporty, for couples and singletons, for gourmands and culture vultures. Along the route, visitors to the slowUp will find a diverse events programme that encompasses cuisine, well-being, skills tests, play, fun and entertainment.

Rates
Everyone can participate free of charge in the slowUp Emmental-Oberaargau.
The normal ticket prices (incl. for bikes) apply when travelling to the event by public transport.

Getting to the slowUp Emmental-Oberaargau
Travelling to Emmental by train is very easy from all directions. The travel time from Bern to Sumiswald is 50 minutes, with direct trains operating hourly. We recommend that you travel by public transport or directly by bicycle. BLS will increase seating capacity.
Because we will only be able to carry a limited number of bicycles on our trains, we recommend that you make use of the Rent a Bike Service.

By steam train
Enjoy a leisurely excursion from Sumiswald to Huttwil on the historic steam train of the Emmental Museum Railway. Please note the special timetable.
Tickets can be purchased at Sumiswald-Grünen, Affoltern-Weier, Häusernmoos, Dürrenroth or directly on the train.
Only second-class carriages, no seat reservations, limited seating capacity.
