The public guided tours of the town will take place whatever the weather.

Guests will need to be sure-footed to take part in the climb up the church tower. Reservations are recommended.

Willisau, archaeological treasure trove

The impressive archaeological discoveries of parts of the town walls and the cellar of the Kirchherrenhaus, or patrons’ house, have been preserved in situ and are freely accessible. A large screen shows various short films on the history of Willisau. Open daily from 08.00 to 17.00 hours.

Christkindlimärt Willisau

6–8 December 2024
The region’s most famous Christmas market is probably the atmospheric Christkindlimärt (“Christ Child Market”) in the historic centre of Willisau.

The bijou town is accessible all year round. Guided town tours can be booked all year round at Willisau Tourismus.
