Accompany a mountain farmer through the World Heritage Site and experience tradition, culture and tourism.
Together with your school class or group, you can accompany André Summermatter on an excursion to Belalp or Mund and there witness the traditional as well as modern three-step cultivation system of the steep mountain slopes. Along the way, you will learn interesting things about blacknose sheep, Suonen waterways, cultivating saffron and the importance of the mountain landscape for nature, culture and tourism. Immerse yourself in the fascinating, centuries-old cultural landscape in the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.

If you want, you can get involved and experience the life of the Alpine farmers for yourself while haymaking, cheesemaking, sheep-shearing or visiting the barns, depending on the season.

Arrival / Meeting point
Arrival by BLS line to Brig Railway Station. Here you will be met by the mountain farmer and will travel by postbus to the unique natural and cultural landscape to be found at Natischerberg.
On request before or after the excursion, you can also visit the interactive exhibition at the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch Visitor Centre in Naters.
