AlpKultur Lenkerseeli play area
Time to romp around, discover and have fun
The AlpKultur play area by Lenkerseeli lake brings the Alpine meadow down into the valley. In the play area measuring 7,000 square metres, your children can explore an Alpine hut and try out numerous pieces of play equipment made from natural materials. Camp fire spots and the Strubeli railway guarantee perfect enjoyment for the whole family!
Travel in comfort by train from Spiez to Zweisimmen and change there for a train to Lenk im Simmental. At Lenk train station, take a bus to Lenk Neufeld. From there, you can reach Lenkerseeli on foot.
The playground in the form of a replica of an alp with an old alpine hut and great playground equipment ensures varied hours outdoors and also offers smaller children a lot of fun.

Another attraction is the Strubeli Bähnli, which takes a steam or electric locomotive on its rounds around the playground. The 400-metre-long railway line starts at the station next to the kiosk and delights not only young guests and their families, but also all railway fans. The train runs daily from the beginning of May to the end of October from 10.00 to 11.45 and from 13.00 to 17.00, every 15 minutes, weather permitting.
Two rounds cost CHF 2.00, a multi-ride ticket for 11 rides costs CHF 20.00.
For those who want to stretch their legs, we recommend a stroll to the Lenkerseeli. This idyllic little lake is small enough to get all the way around on a short walk. Benches invite you to linger and recharge your batteries.
Food & Drink
There are several barbecue areas available, fitted out with firewood, tables, benches and parasols, all of which can be used for free. For those who haven’t packed any refreshments, the Lenkersee kiosk can supply sausages and bakery products.
Kiosk and snack bar
At the kiosk, you can buy drinks, ice creams, sweet treats from the in-house cake shop, sweets and biscuits or small snacks, such as a croque monsieur. The kiosk is open at the weekend in April and every day from 1 May to the end of October from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.
