The “Kafi Luz” coffee drink – part of Lucerne’s cultural heritage in Willisau
A tour of the Willisau distillery with tasting.
On a distillery tour, you can trace the route taken by the pears used in Lucerne’s famous liqueur from their arrival at the plant to the processing and bottling stage. You’ll then see how easily the schnapps slips into the glass! You will be given an introduction to the craft of the distiller and take a glimpse behind the scenes of the Willisau distillery. At the end of the tour, you get the chance to prepare your own “Kafi Luz” – coffee with pear schnapps – and enjoy a snack of local delicacies.
From 4 January to 28 December 2019, public guided tours take place as follows:
- Every 1st and 3rd Friday of every month at 15.00 hours until approx. 17.00 hours
- The final Saturday of every month at 10.00 hours, until approx. 12.00 hours.
Advance booking is required by the previous evening, either by phone, email or via the website.
For groups of eight or more people, tours can be run at any time by arrangement.
