Springenboden–Niesen panorama hike
An ideal hiking tour using public transport with fantastic, extensive views and exclusive transfer
We make it possible to do what other hiking visitors can’t: You will be picked up from Oey-Diemtigen railway station and driven to your starting point at Springenboden, where the five-hour hike up to the Niesen summit starts.
The wonderful view is your constant companion. Along the way, the Hoschüpfe viewing platform offers breathtaking views of the mountain summit, Lake Thun and the wide Simmen and Diemtigtal valleys. After climbing 1,243 metres, you get to the Niesen summit. Enjoy your time at the top before the Niesen railway brings you back down into the valley to the station at Mülenen.
The attractive special ticket includes the transfer to Springenboden and the journey down into the valley on the Niesenbahn funicular. The offer is limited and must be booked at least two days in advance.
Travel directly from Bern by train (departing at 7.39 a.m.) in 45 minutes to Oey-Diemtigen. Your transfer will be waiting for you at 08:24 at the train station Oey-Diemtigen. The return journey goes from Mülenen station, 200 metres away from the Niesen valley station, straight back to Bern.
