One of the finest hiking routes in the canton of Neuchâtel
The Areuse Gorges are both mysterious and fascinating. The trail between Noraigue and Boudry takes the visitor between gigantic rock formations from which the occasional tree bursts forth and over spectacular stone bridges.

The Areuse rises in St.-Sulpice ( canton of Neuchâtel) and slowly wends its way through to the Val-de-Travers Valley and on to Champ-du-Moulin. The river then seeks a route through the magnificent gorge to the village of Boudry, where it finally joins the waters of Lake Neuchâtel. The walk from Noiraigue to Boudry lasts approximately three hours.
