The Roman site in Avenches is an architectural jewel and offers you grandiose sights. On the way, you will marvel at the remains of an amphitheatre, monumental buildings and many other cult objects from the Roman era. At the end of the tour, be sure to take the time to visit the Roman Museum. It shows numerous everyday objects as well as archaeological excavations.

You can reach Avenches quickly and easily by public transport. From the station, it is just under 10 minutes' walk to the Roman sites.

The Swiss National Stud
The Swiss National Stud is open all year round and can be visited thanks to a free nature trail. Interested groups of up to 25 people can take part in a guided tour. How to get there
Travel comfortably by train to Avenches. The old town of Avenches, the Roman Museum as well as the Roman site are all in the immediate vicinity of the Avenches railway station and are easily accessible on foot.
