Travel comfortably by public transport via Spiez to the bus stop "Lenk, Metschbahnen" and back from "Adelboden, Mineralquelle". During the hike you will marvel at the Caribbean in the Bernese Oberland, the flower trail and many other highlights.

Hiking tour

Take the train from Spiez via Zweisimmen to Lenk and from there the bus to the Metschbahn valley station. Take the gondola comfortably up to Metschstand with the ultra-modern Stand-Xpress and start your magnificent day of hiking with unforgettable nature experiences. Culinary highlights are of course also part of the fun.

Adelboden is the destination of your hiking day, from where you travel by bus to Frutigen and continue with the BLS in the direction of Spiez.

You can also complete the circular trail in the opposite direction, i.e. from Adelboden in the direction of Lenk.

From Metschstand to Sillerenbühl and Bergläger

A scenic hiking tour with various adventure highlights on the mountain ranges between Lenk and Adelboden. The cable car takes you comfortably up to the starting point of the hike on the Metschstand. The first part of the trail leads through Schattwy to the Brenggen reservoir. Its location amid green meadows and the reflection of the sunlight give it a Caribbean-like colour. For the first section, we recommend the alternative route from the Metschstand via Guetfläck, Bummerepass and Blattihütte. On this partial route, you can view the reservoir from above in the best light. Cross the border to Adelboden via the Hahnenmoos Pass with the mountain restaurant of the same name. The Flower Trail is laid out on a panoramic and easy path along the slopes of the Lavey. The plants are marked with signs and are easy to recognise. The large sun terrace on the Sillerenbühl invites you to linger and marvel at the surrounding mountain world. From here, it is also possible to take the cable car down to the valley. The last section invites you onto the Vogellisi adventure trail. Various playful stations round off this eventful day before you finally reach the end point at Bergläger.

Availability

The Adelboden-Lenk hiking ticket is valid from 24 June to 15 October 2023, from Wednesday to Sunday and on 1 August, and is available in the BLS web shop or in any BLS Travel Centre. The Metsch Stand-Xpress does not operate on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Trotti and mountain cart

Race down the last section from Bergläger to Adelboden on a scooter or, if you are travelling in the opposite direction, race down from Metschstand to the Metsch middle station on a mountain cart. An unforgettable experience!
