45th International sled dog race Lenk

The international sled dog race has become an integral part of Lenk. Every year in February, motivated dogs, dedicated mushers, and enthusiastic spectators come together for this impressive winter sports event.
The excited howling and barking of the dogs shortly before the start reflects pure energy, endurance, and enthusiasm. Sled dogs are passionate team runners, and the musher can hardly hold them back until the starting signal sounds. As soon as the brakes are released, the team sprints past the spectators through the snow-covered winter landscape. For dog lovers, this event is an unforgettable experience.
The train takes you directly from Bern to Zweisimmen every hour, where you change to the regional train to Lenk in the Simmental. From Lenk station, it is only about a 10-minute walk to the start and finish area.
