Sled dog races in Kandersteg

This event draws large crowds of visitors to Kandersteg: the combination of unique natural landscape and impressive dog teams never fails to fascinate. Follow the mushers and their dog teams as they compete in exciting races across different categories with teams of up to 12 dogs.
The RegioExpress takes you from Bern to Kandersteg in one hour and from Brig in 40 minutes without changing trains.

How to get there
Travel by train to Kandersteg.
From the railway station you can reach the valley station of the Allmenalp cable car in about 10 minutes on foot. This is the starting and finishing point of the sled dog races
