Up to 20% cheaper to a hiking paradise with impressive views

Fog or mist hovering over the entire Swiss Plateau, with sunny, clear skies above – this is Mt. Weissenstein. Solothurn’s ‘local mountain’, part of the first and highest Jura range, is a true walkers’ paradise. Here you will find mountain peaks offering far-ranging views, dreamy campfire spots, playgrounds set amidst nature and, here and there, a welcoming mountain inn or two.

The cable car takes you up onto Mt. Weissenstein in around 11 minutes, where – when the weather is good – you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view ranging from Mt. Säntis to Mont Blanc. Gaze in wonder at the lovingly cultivated Jura garden, with its 200 or so plant species, and enjoy great food and drink on the terrace of the Hotel Weissenstein.

Benefit from the following advantages when you buy the outward and return journey by public transport at the same time:

  • 20% discount on the journey by public transport to Oberdorf and back
  • 10% discount on the ascent and descent of the Weissenstein

  • 10% discount on the Oberdorf–Weissenstein journey or vice versa (one way)

The savings offer is also available at BLS Travel Centres and at every railway counter in Switzerland.
