Sledging on Tschentenalp

A sledging paradise in Adelboden

Adelboden’s local mountain offers a varied winter experience for all ages with four different sledging routes. If you have never tried a Skigibel, now is the perfect opportunity: this traditional one-legged sled from the region is intuitively controlled by shifting your body weight and is guaranteed to be a memorable experience. A total of seven different sled models are available, ensuring the right choice for every riding style and speed. If you would like to take a break, the mountain restaurant next to the top station is the perfect place to relax.

Travel comfortably by train to Frutigen. From Frutigen train station the bus takes you to Adelboden, Post. In about 5 minutes walk you reach the valley station of the Tschentenbahn.

Night sledging takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from 17.00 to 22.00 hours. The mountain restaurant is open during these hours.

Rates

The group revolving track is included in the sledding passes.
All sledding passes are issued on a Keycard. The deposit for the Keycard is an additional CHF 5.00. Upon return of the Keycard, you will receive the deposit back.
Sledges, airboards and skibocks can be hired at the GUB valley station for CHF 10.00 for half a day or CHF 15.00 for a full day. All seven models are included in the rental price.

How to get there

Travel with the BLS to Frutigen station. Here you have a connection to the AFA bus route 230 in the direction of Adelboden. From the «Adelboden, Post» bus stop, you can reach the Tschentenalp valley station in about 5 minutes on foot.
