Hiking & nature
Gor du Vauseyon - Neuchâtel
A patch of undisturbed nature in close proximity to the town centre
Just at the edge of Neuchâtel town centre, in an unspoilt natural setting, the Gor du Vauseyon River flows through gorges and over waterfalls down to the remains of a 17th century watermill. A set of illustrative displays explains the technology behind the waterwheel that in the pre-industrial era was used to power machinery. A hiking trail leads over footbridges and paths to the village of Valangin.
