GoldenPass Cheese Train Montreux–Château-d’Œx

An excursion into the heart of a Swiss tradition
Climb on board and join us on this guided tour. The panoramic or Belle Époque train takes you from Montreux or Zweisimmen to Château-d’Oex. In «Le Chalet» you have the chance to watch the cheesemaker making cheese in the traditional way and then you can enjoy a delicious fondue. In the afternoon, you can admire the treasures of local craftsmanship and the art of paper cutting at the Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut.

The panoramic or Belle Époque train will carry you from Montreux or Zweisimmen to Château-d’Oex.

Enjoy the comfort and the wonderful view from MOB’s GoldenPass to Château-d’Oex.

Demonstration of traditional cheesemaking in the «Le Chalet» restaurant

The staff at the “Le Chalet” restaurant will initiate you into the secrets of Alpine cheese production. You will then enjoy a hearty cheese fondue at the restaurant.

Visit to the Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut

In the afternoon, discover the treasures of local arts and crafts and the art of paper cutting at the Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut.

Visit to the Espace Ballon

On presentation of the “Cheese Train” train ticket for the number of people indicated on the confirmation, you will receive a 50% discount on the admission price for the Espace Ballon: take off into the sky above the Pays-d'Enhaut!
