Once you step into this town with its encircling protective wall, you'll feel like you're in a relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere. The medieval Zähringer town of Murten will enchant you with its historical buildings, its picturesque alleys and arcades. The town wall, which is almost completely preserved and the only accessible encircling wall in Switzerland, offers a magnificent view across the town's roofs and Lake Murten.
