The ideal complement to public transport for the first and final kilometre
The world of mobility is developing at lightning speed. The selection of new mobility offers, services and technologies is growing continuously. On-demand mobility offerings such as bike-sharing and rental e-scooters are the ideal complement to public transport and close the final gaps in the mobility chain. This allows you to enjoy convenient, flexible and hassle-free travel from the train station directly to your destination without having to hunt for a parking space and – if you opt to hire an e-bike or e-scooter – even without breaking a sweat. You thereby also help reduce road traffic in the inner city.

E-scooters VOI Sharing Scooter
Since early 2021, e-scooters have also been approved for hire in the city of Bern. This approval is currently limited to one year and was granted for 250 e-scooters from the providers VOI and Tier. To use the e-scooters, you will simply need the dedicated app for finding and unlocking them.
BLS is conducting a six-month pilot project together with the e-scooter provider VOI. To this end, VOI e-scooter racks have been set up at the BLS train stations of Bern Bümpliz Nord and Bern Weissenbühl. These racks make it possible to park up the VOI e-scooters in an orderly manner and thus help you find an available e-scooter for rides starting from these BLS stations.
