A lot can happen on the BLS rail network: a wild animal run over, a burning embankment, a train at a standstill. Have you always wondered how the safety system of a railway is organised? Then this is the ideal offer for you and your group.

Programme
During the tour, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the safety system in the tunnel as well as the organisation and tasks of the company’s own fire department, including the firefighting and rescue train. A model of the Lötschberg Base Tunnel will show you the dimensions of its imposing structure.
Smooth operation on the BLS grid requires a well-organised maintenance concept, and trains can only run on time if routes and vehicles are in perfect condition. Visit the maintenance centre and we’ll give you a little look behind the scenes as well as information on the organisation, working methods and storage of the Oberland construction and maintenance region.

Children must be at least 12 years old and may only take part in the tour if accompanied by an adult.
