Trail running on Sunnbüel
Go with the flow on easy trails or challenge yourself and push your personal limits on a challenging trail around Sunnbüel.
Running is freeing – you can feel it with every step you take across an alpine meadow or along a mountain ridge. No matter how enduring or fast you are – what counts is your personal experience of the trail. And your smile along the way, in the mountain world of Sunnbüel.
The pleasure trails lead through enchanting Swiss stone pine forests with deep blue lakes (if they have water), to vantage points high above the Gasterntal valley or along the legendary Gemmiweg. Every step across the alpine meadows brings you closer to Sunnbüel's impressive mountain world and puts a smile on your face.
Challenging trails are long and strenuous, requiring technical skill and stamina. Are they fun? Maybe not on a steep climb. But anyone who has experienced the feeling of flying along a mountain ridge will not want to miss these powerful moments of happiness. The trail, the mountains, nature, the blue sky and you.
Take the train from Bern directly to Kandersteg. From Kandersteg you can easily reach the valley station Kandersteg Sunnbüel by bus.
