Mont Vully – A walking paradise for families
The vineyards of the Lake Murten region offer charm and tranquillity, with fantastic panoramic views out over Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Murten, the Jura and the Alps.
Discover the picturesque landscapes of this famous wine-growing region by climbing the 653-metre-high Mont Vully, travelling to the time of the Celts along the educational history trails, or learning interesting facts about wine-growing along the educational wine trail and stopping off for a wine-tasting session at one of the many wine cellars. Exploring the “Roche Grises – La Lamberta” sandstone caves is a must for adventurers. These caves were dug during the First World War to protect the Swiss Plateau, and today serve as a backdrop to new adventures. Don’t forget to bring a torch!

This little walking paradise offers you a wide range of local delicacies, in particular fish from the lake, enjoyed with a fruity wine from the vineyards of Mont Vully. For dessert, you simply must try a deliciously moist piece of gâteau du Vully, a true delight and worth the calories! Indulge yourself and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

- Educational wine trail: children follow the “Viny” mascot and thereby learn lots of exciting and interesting facts about wine-growing.
- Oppidum: a partial reconstruction of the western gate in a Celtic rampart built by the Helvetians in the first century BC.
- “Roches Grises - La Lamberta” sandstone caves: the 200-metre-long tunnel was dug during the First World War to protect the Swiss Plateau, and today serve as the setting for games of hide-and-seek.
