Fun and games in Spiez

Discover Spiez with the whole family. A wide range of excursions and activities awaits you here. Be it sporty or relaxed, with small children or with teenagers – you’ll never get bored in and around Spiez.

Spiez has plenty of play areas and fire pits, for example on Strandweg or the playground in Spiez Bay. A wooden replica of the Blüemlisalp steamer is an inviting place to linger. In a break from all the action, the Pura Vida bayside kiosk has great ice creams. Meanwhile, the “Play your way around Spiez” trail incorporates an amazing 30 fun stations. And of course, no family trip to Spiez would be complete without a ride on the popular nostalgic Spiezer Zügli train. Children’s eyes will light up when they see it.

Travel comfortably by train to Spiez. Spiez Bay with its minigolf course and play area are just a 12-minute walk from the train station.

Minigolf

Play your way around Switzerland’s first Open Standard minigolf course.

The 18-hole course with hole lengths of between 6 and 21 metres features natural obstacles and a putting green, making it a fun adventure for young and old. Discover the unique mix of traditional minigolf and golf.

Ludotrail

The playful way to discover the village

At 30 individually designed fun stations, you’ll discover the village of Spiez in a different way. Drive sailing boats across the finish line or save the shoal of fish from the pike – numerous highlights are just waiting to be enjoyed.

The games can be played in any number and order.

Per group/family, 1 games backpack is required. These can be obtained from the BLS travel centre in Spiez.

Spiezer Zügli

Discover Spiez on leisurely round trips

The Spiezer Zügli (small train) runs between the train station and boat station every afternoon from April to October. Take advantage of the combined offer “Badi-Zügli” and combine the train ride with a relaxing afternoon in the open-air and lakeside pool at Spiez. Or let the culinary train shuttle you from restaurant to restaurant. In addition to the normal scheduled trips, the Spiezer Zügli can also be booked exclusively for special trips.

A deposit is required to ensure the safe return of the play equipment. CHF 10.00 per racket and ball or a valuable item (ID, mobile phone, bunch of keys, etc.). The deposit will be returned when the rackets/balls are returned.

* PuraVida kiosk opening hours may change depending on circumstances and weather conditions. The facilities are closed in rainy weather. It is not permitted to use the facilities outside of the opening times without permission. This applies even if you are using your own equipment.

The Ludotrail can be played on all year round. Please note the opening hours of the BLS Spiez Travel Centre.

Spiez train

The Spiez train runs between the railway station and the boat station every Sunday to Friday afternoon from April to October.

BLS suggestion

Play area

The play area in Spiez Bay opened in July 2020 and has a new look. In addition to classics such as the roundabout and swings, the highlight is the replica wooden reconstruction of the nostalgic “Blüemlisalp” steamer. Water play provides a refreshing option for cooling down on hot days.
