Betelberg Lenk Marmot Trail
Great fun! An adventure-filled and playful trail for children of all ages
The trail leads you along a gently sloping natural path from the Leiterli mountain station to the Stoss middle station 3 km away. At the mountain station, you can test your recall skills with Milk Pail Memory. Along the way, you will learn lots of interesting facts about marmots. Discover an accessible marmot warren. Practise your balancing skills on the balancing beam or use the marmot scales to find out how many marmots you weigh. Balance and climb your way through the marmot maze, guess the animal noises and zoom along a zip line for the last few metres to reach the barbecue area.

Marmots spend the summer putting on the fat they need to survive the winter. This is why the animals are active every day and polish off around 500g of herbs and grass. During the summer, there’s a very good chance of seeing these cute Alpine creatures on the slopes around Lenk. With the right equipment, observing marmots is a fun nature experience that all of the family will enjoy.
The interactive gondola to Mt. Betelberg
At Mt. Betelberg, even the gondola ride to Leiterli becomes an auditory family experience: during the summer season, children can enjoy an exciting ascent accompanied by Moritz the marmot and other creatures.
