Formazza Valley walk
Riale–Lago di Morasco-Riale-Cascata del Toce–Ponte Formazza.
The Formazza Valley wins over visitors with its romantic valley landscapes, its natural and man-made mountain lakes, and its waterfalls. The walking route from Riale to Ponte Formazza runs along the Lago di Morasco reservoir and the Cascata del Toce, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Alps. At this natural spectacle, the water rushes 143 metres into the depths below, fanning out to a width of 60 metres. A wooden terrace provides a fantastic viewpoint over the waterfall.
The Formazza Valley is served by bus on Saturdays and Sundays during July and August with connections to the Lötschberger RegioExpress.
