Pure scooter biking fun in Lenk

An adventurous ride down to the valley on two wheels and a mountain panorama to swoon over

You will climb onto one of the modern scooter bikes at Leiterli mountain station. Equipped with top suspension and an extra-wide deck, you will zoom down 9 kilometres from Leiterli mountain station to the valley station.

Departing hourly from Bern, the train will take you directly to Zweisimmen, where you can change to the regional train to Lenk im Simmental. From Lenk railway station, take a bus to the valley station for the Betelberg gondola lift. The Betelberg gondola will then take you to Leiterli mountain station.

Scooter bike fever at Betelberg

Scooter bike fever has been raging in Lenk for some time now. The 9 km route from Leiterli mountain station to Betelberg valley station is the perfect place to try our state-of-the-art scooter bikes, all of which feature an amazing suspension and extra-wide foot boards. An experience made for lovers of comfort, athletes, action men and women alike, but, thanks to the disc brakes, plenty of fun for the less adventurous too.

The scooter bike adventure promises an unforgettable experience on the mountain. During the action-packed descent into the valley, it’s worth taking a stop and admiring the imposing mountain panorama that acts as your loyal companion throughout the trip.

Useful information:

  • Start: Leiterli mountain station, Finish: Betelberg valley station
  • Duration: 30 to 45 minutes depending on riding style
  • Minimum age: 12 years
  • Minimum height: 125 cm
  • Only one person is allowed per scooter bike
  • Helmets must be worn (included in the hire charge)
  • Last scooter bike rental from Leiterli mountain station: 4.30 p.m.
  • Scooter bikes must be returned by 5.00 p.m.
  • Look out for oncoming traffic on the route
