On the heights around the lower Frittenbachgraben Valley
Langnau i.E.–Dürsrütiwald–Geilisguetegg–Zollbrück (14.2 km, 4 hours 10 mins)
Enjoy a magnificent mountain hike around the lower Frittenbachgraben Valley. From the Dürsrütiwald forest, you overlook the broad plain between the Emme and Ilfis rivers. You can see the foothills and peaks of the Alps above the wooded ridges of the Hohwacht and the Churzenberg. The trail then takes you via Fluehüsli and the Rotebühlegg to the splendid vantage point of Geilisguetegg. Finally there is a steep descent, partly through woods, to the farmyards of Ried. There are only a few hamlets in the Emmental with this kind of enclosed construction.
