Magglingen outdoor pool

Free swimming fun with a view
On warm summer days, the outdoor pool of the National Sports Centre Magglingen invites visitors to enjoy free swimming. The facility is located above Lake Biel and offers ideal conditions for a refreshing break or sporty swimming sessions. Whether you want to swim lengths, jump into the water or simply relax, the outdoor pool is open to the public during the summer season in good weather.

Food

No food or drink is available at the outdoor pool. The National Sports Centre, around 1 km away, has several restaurants as well as a bar and cafeteria.

July and August: daily, 10.00–19.00 hours

Admission to the Magglingen outdoor pool is free.

Reservations are not required for individuals or groups. Schools are asked to register their visit in advance.

The journey is easy by train to Biel/Bienne. From the station, you can reach the valley station of the Magglingen funicular in around 10 minutes on foot or by bus line 11. Alternatively, a well-signposted hiking trail leads directly from the station up to Magglingen in around 40 to 60 minutes.
