To ensure that passengers travel safely, goods are transported reliably, and construction services can work efficiently, we at BLS Bahnproduktion have our own welding technology department. We have many years of experience in welding maintenance and the conversion of rail vehicles and their components. We also offer mobile services at customer sites, welding technology consulting, and other services.
Numerous railway companies are among our satisfied customers. The railway production department has the necessary certifications, equipment, and extensive expertise in its welding technology competence center to ensure high-quality work, provide you with expert advice, and offer qualified support.
Our infrastructure
- Maximum vehicle length: 26.4 m (longer vehicles on request)
- Lifting jack system: 25 t per lifting block
- Crane system: 2x 10 tons
Our services
- Welding and straightening work in accordance with EN 15085 / EN ISO 3834-2 on rail vehicles, vehicle components, special construction vehicles, and rail cranes
- Repairs, refurbishments, and conversions ranging from simple repair welding to complex work involving intervention in car body structures and repairs to cranes made of high-strength fine-grained structural steel
- Carrying out and preparing damage analyses and repair/conversion concepts
- Carrying out welding supervision, supplier audits, and shell construction inspections
- General welding technology consulting and consulting on regulations
