Special ticket from Kandersteg to the Valais

Travel comfortably by train to Goppenstein. From Goppenstein station the post bus (direction Blatten/Fafleralp) takes you to  «Wiler (Lötschen), Talstation. From there, the cable car takes you up to the Lauchernalp.
The Lauchernalp-Fafleralp High-Elevation Trail is one of the most magnificent routes of its kind. It runs through fragrant forests and over richly blossoming Alpine meadows. High above the walking trail, the glacier-covered Petersgrat stands in contrast to the verdant green of the forests and meadows, accompanied by the nearly 4,000-metre-tall mountain giant, the Bietschhorn. From Fafleralp, take the post bus back to Goppenstein. 
The walking time is approximately 2 hours 35 minutes.

Travel comfortably by train to Hohtenn.The core of this hiking trail leads along the over 100-year-old Lötschberg line from Hohtenn via Ausserberg to Eggerberg. On this walk, you will encounter both Alpine and southern vegetation, as well as plenty of beautiful views into the Rhone Valley. Along the way, you will see not only typical old Valais houses, but also feats of early-twentieth-century railway engineering – such as the Luogelkin Viaduct between Hohtenn and Ausserberg. From Eggerberg take the train back to Kandersteg. 
The walking time from Hohtenn to Eggerberg is approximately 5 hours.
