Here you can also make a detour straight ahead to Burgdorf Castle with its restaurant before setting off on the hike with renewed vigour. After crossing the Emme, the path leads along the forest to the junction with the tarmac road. Now turn right up the forest through the Leuenhohle, one of the most beautiful hollow paths in Switzerland. You emerge from the forest on the hill and continue via Egg to Kaltacker, where you can take a break at the Hirschen restaurant.
