Exploring Kandersteg on the “Höh Tour” snowshoe trail

Discover the various snowshoe tours and winter walks around Kandersteg.

Would you like to try something new and experience Kandersteg on snowshoes? Then set out on the "Höh-Tour" - under your own steam. If you prefer a winter walk, the two winter trails through the Oeschiwald or Filfalle are recommended.

Snowshoe trail

Schneeschuhtrail «Höh-Tour»

This circular trail starts out along the River Kander towards the weir/Bern. Now the trail ascends into the Höhwald forest. After climbing 140 metres, you can – if you so wish – divert to the Risetenegg vantage point. Here a splendid view out onto the entire village of Kandersteg and the Blümlisalp massif awaits you. Now follows the short descent back into the village. You leave the Höhwald behind and eventually return towards the train station.
